Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Where is my to-do list data stored?

Your to-do list is stored locally in your web browser's "local storage." This means the data is saved on your current device and is specific to the browser you are using. It is not sent to any external server.

Can I access my to-do list on other devices or browsers?

No. Since the data is stored in local storage, it is not synchronized across different devices or browsers. Your list will only be available on the device and browser where you created it.

What happens if I clear my browser's cache or local storage data?

If you clear your browser's local storage for this website, your entire to-do list will be permanently erased from that browser. There is no way to recover it through this tool once cleared.

Is there a limit to how many tasks I can add?

Local storage has a size limit (typically around 5-10MB per website, depending on the browser). While text-based tasks are usually small, an extremely large number of very long tasks could eventually reach this limit, though it's unlikely for typical use.

Can I reorder tasks in the list?

This simple version of the to-do list does not currently support drag-and-drop reordering of tasks. Tasks are displayed in the order they were added.
